Statement
As an artist, diplomatic work becomes more and more important to me. The “Special Envoy for Inter-being Relations” represents this activity. To create my alter-ego, the „Special Envoy“, I was influenced by doing projects at the United Nations in Geneva and by a collaboration with nature conservationists in a rewilding project in the Apennines in central Italy. There, deep in the forest, I was initiated by a Marsican brown bear, who talked to me (I did not see him).
But what does a Special Envoy for Inter-being Relations actually do!?
My main occupation is to listen!
And what do I listen to?
My mission is to listen to the voices of the more-than-human beings.
More-than-human beings could be a rock, beings in the soil, it could be bacteria or a plant; just including anything that is not a human being, which is pretty much everything on our planet.
Now, why is it important to listen to more-than-human beings?
If we won´t listen, we will never fathom. And we must fathom that a Force will unfold, which will pull everything away with it.
A force so overwhelmingly powerful that it remains beyond our intellectual comprehension. We can only perceive the existence of the Force with our own sensuous experience.
